DIPLOMA OF SPECIALISED BOWEN THERAPY

An exciting course that builds on skills developed in Certificate IV in Bowen Therapy providing you with the opportunity to enhance your understanding of this wonderful modality. New procedures learnt in this course are very dynamic and often invoke a whole body response and are helpful for the more persistent and unusual symptoms that clients may present with. Techniques of clinical assessment and rehabilitation are included in our training giving you the knowledge and confidence to become a consummate professional practitioner.

This course consists of two areas of study; specialisation units presenting specilaised Bowen procedures and common units of material essential to all professional therapists.

The Specialisation units consist of four modules, taught over a 12 month period. The delivery will feature twelve days of class-based training, three days training (24 classroom hours) for each of the Modules.

The modules are recognised by the Bowen Association of Australia for CEU points, Modules 8, 9, 10 and 11 equate to 24 CEU points each. Completion of Module 8, 9 and 10 entitles the student to enrol in the Master Class or SP2 with Bowtech.

The modules are conducted over a period of time that allows practice in between technical skill sessions and includes substantial revision of technique and knowledge in the process. Practical and written assessment activities and a log book of practice hours will make up the balance of delivery of this section of the course. Our training is thorough and planned to allow you to develop depth and quality in your understanding.

The Common units tasks are explained and distributed within the modules. These flexible, self paced  tasks are: A research task, Manage a Practice, professional reflection, anatomy and Bowen specific assessments. The knowledge and skills gained here expands your horizons in understanding this modality and develops managerial skills in business enhancing your opportunities for success.

When all tasks for both the specialisation and common units have been competently completed the Diploma of Specialised Bowen Therapy will be issued.
